Red hot 55k with Tara. Great time getting away with my sweety on V day.  Her longest race and she ran just how she should have, smooth and in control the whole way.  She felt great at the finish! Perfect.  Me not so much. No plan or goal for the race, just go out a cruise and have a good time.  Got caught up in the "race" half way through and went harder than planning for a bit.  Gotta start sticking to nutriton plan on runs over 20 miles. Bonk o rama the last 8 miles or so.  Sucked, Limped it in on empty.  More core work for me is needed to. Up miles, way up core work and overall strength work and pay attention pace and food is the plan going forward.

Malan's 41:30 easy pace, add waterfall loop and a litttle north BST 1:30.  Easy day.

Rainbow hill x 5.  Effort good.  2:30-2:45 each.  20 min after

Easy recovery 30 min very slow.  C Gym 1 hour.

Mtn lion loop. mod/hard out.  Full on back.  1:01.5

27th Enve Discovery loop. Easy for effort.  23 on segment at easy effort.

Surf Bolsa Chica.  Really good.  Best wave day.  Nice, long head high right. Clean day.  Surfed 'til the arms gave out.

Skin and ski.  2 hours mod to hard effort,  4000 vert. good day

Malans  indian to shack.  easy pace 40 malans 1:48 to shack, pond loop. 2:29

Wheeler sardine loop.  Pretty wasy up, little pusj on the way back. 7:30's.  2:20 RT 14.5. 2800 vert

45 minutes in a mega snow storm

Pow! JP, 3 laps on jungle, womens to bottom.  1.5 ft new.  solo and no one around Sweet!

More climbing in the heavy gear.  6 hours over 2 days.  Beat! 7000-8000 vert with 15 lbs on each foot. 

Nothing. Beat tired.

Indian to oc and back from 22nd. 1:34. 46 to oc, 31 to hut. Hard effort on way back to 22nd.

Tired not much

Easy 40 min before plane ride

Crumby surf day at the Bay.  Small on shore.  Easy run on the mtn bike trails in the Am.  Erik on his board.

Much better day at the bay.  Great waves all day.  No run Wifey did the Kalalau.

Another good day on the waves.  Feeling pretty good, timing is good, riding well, paddeling strong, getting in the right spot yesterday and today.  Had a bit of time in perfect waves and light with one other guy...everyone went in and we stayed out and it got perrfect!

No running or surfing, west side, south side drive. Good day with the family.

Bat's ears attempt.  Too raininy but had a good run anyway.  surf was descent, bigger.  had a couple of good one's.  Erik doing better on the board.  Surfed south of peir.

Raininy nasty all morning. Mtn bike trails alone.  Brown water early.  Surfed some at pavillions.  Big a close out/walled out on most. Watched it for a while, nailed the paddle out through the break from wactching and picking the spot and time.  Pulled into a few fast steep rights that shut down fast....still fun to ride a steep wall for a few seconds.  Cureent was nuts..drifting to Ptrees.  paddled like mad, got back into spot, pulled up on a walled out wave...Happy could see it and not go..learning. Finally got one good right and made it out to the shoulder.  Samll difficult waves by peir rest of the day.  Really really tired..not feeling strong at all 

Over night flight.  Tired.  Worked hard as soonas Ihit the ground.  No run.

Slow tired shuffle up malan's to the Basin and back.

Slow shuffle for half hour,  Tara gone to race. Really Really tired still.....bluh!

Kids all day, Tara gone. SLow 45 min shuffle late.  Still Super tired.

Lots of sleep! Feeling better today.

indian over and back bst to gate/ waterfall and back to 27th.  rainining.  not a soul.  3 hours easy pace

up taylor to new hidden valley connector.  up for a ways.  super slow. sick kicking hard that started saturday.  dragged it out for 1:30

Bst to north end from 27th.  14ish.  easy on the out, turned around and got crushed by the hand of god thunderstorm. Raining hard!, less than 1 second lightening thunder intervals.  Had to crawl up under some rocks for a while and let it pass. 2:30 easy pace including the 10-15 sitting under rock time,  

Rainbow hill x 5 2:18, 22,28,24,34.  Hard efforts.  Felt stronger after than other workouts.  Ran solid on cool down.  28:30 for whole w.o.

Cgym Gotta coupla hard one 1st try

Malan's moderate effort 35;23 up 53 rt.  down was soggy

Easy 30 minutes. 

Malans to way north BST.  Most of the way through the new section.  Easy pace.  21-22 milesish 4:20.  5000 vertish

10-11 miles, bst monday loops with add on north to rock wall and taylor canyon. 1:31. easy/moderate.

rainbow hills x 5 tired legs today and high work stress wasn't feeling it.  2:18,24,26,32,35.  28:26 total time. 

Cgym for a bit felt strong faded fast.  Easy 35.  3 trucks down!

Indian via 27th.  shack at 43 easy pace, down to CW overlook and back 1:30 on the dot. legs tired and heavy...maybe the dentist did it

Squaw Peak 50. 5th finish. 10:14. Pretty easy taper week before.  Some pick ups on tuesday.  Easy run with strides at end on wednesday easy short thurday nothing friday. Ran my race, no worries about time or place.  Gels to 26 then fruit. worked great. SLight bonk on windy as I left my food at little valley aid. whoops!  felt pretty easymost of the way through.  Almost an hour PR on this course.  

Off to Friday. Moab with YM.  

Easy 45 min.  feeling a little cold from too many kids around.  Legs feel ok about 80% recovered.

 

Monday loops 1:18.  Easy recovery pace. Lungs still a littel gunky too.  Added a little 1:30.  

Malans to the basin 41 up with a phone call and a couple of texts, easy pace. 1:22 RT

Brim trail at PM. trial is 6 or 7 I ran 8 or so looking for the start. 1:30 ish easy with stops.

Benny for first time this year. Easy light pace 1:48/258 rt

Easy 90 min bench to top of taylor. Hot.

Brim to white pine with 5 x 2 min to finish. Feeling some snap again finally.

90 minutes bench up Taylor. Hot!!!

Burner hot on malans. 36 min up in the heat. Moderate effort.

8 miles at PM with oldshool. 75 and breezy up there. Cc loop.

Dry Canyon aid station. Ran up to AS easy pace. Hill felt mellow even with a 10 lb pack. 1:05 TH to AS.  Down felt good too, flew.

Long work day.  Short 30 minutes late.

 

Powder Mountian.  Brim to Gersten gate down into leftys at beaver dam up lefts on the 4x4 trail w/5 x 2 min intervals hard.  30 min easy. 1:40 total.

Good c gym, no run.

James, ran total via slow poke to lightening. 32 min. East off trail. Good hard effort run.

Ben with tara. Good run. Tired legs.

Franklin to LR. Steam Mill felt easy on tired legs?? Very casual pace. Slight pu on the dirt road return. Sub 7's for 2.5. Legs and body tired. Total 16 hrs sleep in 3 days.

Bear Creek on the HR course.  Went late and was the only one out there.  Beautiful night! A little rain.  Such an amazing place

Ice lake, Island Lake Grants swamp pass with Cody.  Felt beat, but had a great time. Good to get out on the HR course.  Beautiful!

Nothing.  Pacing Cory late.  Waited at Grouse for a long time, Tara took him to Ouary. 23 hours of mountian fun. 47 miles

Pretty easy all week. 2 good runs at red fish, baron pass run was awesome. Ran a good clip on the down. Climbing legs feel awful, heavy, slow, hr high when going up. Another easy week I think.

FB to LR to Beaver summit. love running that section. 2 hours incl stops to lr causual pace. easy run hike 3miles up to beaver summit. down fb road to finish low 7 on tired legs felt easyish. 3:35 total all stops. 16.8 miles. 

1.5 hours taylor canyon to top.
