5 on the 'mill at 7:15 base pace.  1/4 mile interval on each mile up to 3 miles at 6:15. 1/4 mile interval at 5:50 on last 2. Wanted to run a little harder but the legs were still a little heavy from the long run on snowy trails Saturday . . .crazy how much running on snow saps the power!

Does your blog template not track miles?

From Bryce on Thu, Jan 14, 2010 at 22:47:36 from 174.52.190.220

Jon, thanks for asking. I'm sure it does. The problem is I usually dont count miles, so I havent used it. I usually just run for time. Seems like I have been posting miles alot lately though, must be because I am running on trails I have run so much I know mile splits to every rock and tree along the way :)

I understand the running for time thing. You're just the first blogger I've seen who consistently does not track miles. Just an observation, that's all.

Thanks for the observation, reminds me there are probobly alot of things most runners track that I should be tracking better. Good luck at the 'Coon. in a couple of weeks! Hope your hip is 100%!

No, no reason to track miles if you don't want to. Not "better" or "worse", just different. I've thought of going just time-based, since trail running makes the mileage appear lower versus time. I just haven't made the switch yet.

Thanks- hopefully the hip will be kind enough to allow me to finish.
